My first ever stay at Esalen was to attend the Transformation seminar given by Constantine and Casandra Vieten.  The venue was all I could have asked for and many aspects that thrilled and transformed me; just being there and being immersed in the aura of the community.  Although I did not take any formal courses by her, I did attend two open sessions that were given by Ellen Bishop and want to convey my utmost regard for her presence and vision in becoming a beacon for high and abiding quality.

The main purpose of this blurb is to sing the praises of Constantine Darling.  His presence was totally unexpected and yet, became a large part of the glue that bonded our little band of pilgrims to the vision of transformation.  Whereas Casandra projected the intellect, Constantine showered us with spirit, energy, encouragement, participation.  He shared his gifts freely at all times and embodied so many wonderful qualities that it is not possible to delineate or even do justice to his being.  His life was there in technicolor and stereo and he brought me along for the ride.  Full of energy, risk taking, and very solidly mature leadership.  I would certainly consider another session where Constantine was a part of the program.
